We are calling on 100 Emcees to to preserve and elevate the craft of freestyle through our cypher events, tournaments, and lyrical challenges.
Soul Food Cypher is built on community, craft, and culture. Membership is the way you step fully into that space.
Everyone is invited to apply for membership. Membership keeps you connected to the community, the cyphers, and the creative energy that fuels the organization. It gives you a place in the room where artists sharpen their skills, build relationships, and contribute to the culture together.
As a member, you receive admission to our monthly cyphers and an invitation to the four Secret Cyphers held throughout the year. Members also gain access to exclusive media captured during these events, our member-only Instagram chat, and opportunities to participate in cypher segments where artists compete for cash prizes. Each member also receives an official Soul Food Cypher t-shirt.
Membership is about participation and presence. It is about showing up, contributing to the circle, and growing alongside a community rooted in Hip-Hop values and artistic excellence.
For those who feel called to take on a deeper role and represent the organization publicly, membership can also be the first step toward the path of becoming an SFC Emcee.
Membership in SFC reaches beyond the cyphers and our members are provided opportunities to serve as mentors working with at-risk youth. Members serve as positive role models, guiding teens in their fields of interests including history, literature, and music production.
