MEMBERSHIP

We are calling on 100 Emcees to to preserve and elevate the craft of freestyle through our cypher events, tournaments, and lyrical challenges.

Anyone can become a member of Soul Food Cypher. Membership keeps you connected to the community, the events, and the creative energy inside the cipher.

Members pay dues, receive entry into events, and are invited to participate in programming and creative segments. You are in the room. You are building relationships. You are sharpening your craft.

Membership is about belonging and participation. For those who feel called to represent the organization publicly, there is a deeper path through becoming an SFC Emcee.

Membership in SFC reaches beyond the cyphers and our members are provided opportunities to serve as mentors working with at-risk youth. Members serve as positive role models, guiding teens in their fields of interests including history, literature, and music production.
