Ever since RonB’s first time stepping into the cypher he knew that very day that Soul Food Cypher was the family for him. RonB started his freestyle career in middle school with poetry. For show & tell, he wrote poems about his life at that time. One day, he forgot to write his poem so he stood in front of the class and freestyled a poem about Pokemon: Blue version. And from that day forth, he has been implementing various parts of life experiences into his freestyles.

RonB is also involved into a number of other extracurricular activities. To name a couple, he plays pool, ping pong, cornhole and he is a competitor in an adult Kickball league and Super Smash Brothers Melee for the Nintendo Gamecube. RonB references all of these in his rhymes but the one that has stayed closest to his heard is freestyling. It’s clear that he puts a lot of passion and practice into his lyricism and flow. RonB truly enjoys finding new ways to implement wordplay and double entendres into his lines. His favorite emcees are Lupe Fiasco, Common, and J. Cole and it’s clear that those individuals influence his relevant content approach to Hip-Hop.

One last special detail about Ron’s freestyle ability is that he strives to rap without any vulgar language. He first started rapping when he lived with his Grandmother, so his style started as a PG rating and continues to do so.

LaRon is very excited to join the SFC family and he is ready to carry out the Mission and Vision of SFC.
